Pet-friendly home interiors – let’s go!

No one may be more comfortable at this home than the family’s dogs. The design team had the privilege of working with this family on a full home transformation that beautifully blended luxury living with pet-friendly functionality.

The main takeaway from the project was clear—modern homeowners are rethinking the way they live, and pets are now an integral part of that lifestyle. Today’s most popular pet-friendly design trends include stylish built-in food and water stations, smart technology for pet monitoring, convenient bathing and grooming areas, and décor that integrates seamlessly into the home’s overall aesthetic.

When this project began, the property looked entirely different. The residence was originally designed in a traditional Mediterranean style, with ornate details and darker tones that felt dated. The family wanted to reimagine it into something bright, open, and reflective of their playful, eclectic taste—while still honoring some of the home’s architectural character.

The transformation began outside, with a fresh, neutral exterior color palette, updated lighting, and new landscaping to enhance curb appeal. Inside, walls and ceilings were repainted to bring light and harmony into every space. A dining room wall was removed to create a more open flow and grander entry experience.

Columns that divided living areas were taken down, creating a sense of unity throughout the main spaces. Wallpaper and custom window treatments added warmth, privacy, and personality. Lighting was fully reimagined—every fixture and bulb carefully chosen to balance function, tone, and ambiance.

Nearly all furnishings were replaced, with new pieces carefully selected to suit the family’s relaxed but refined lifestyle. Rugs, art, and greenery completed the look, adding layers of comfort and style.

The result is a home that feels sophisticated yet welcoming—a perfect reflection of a family that loves design as much as they love their pets. It’s proof that with thoughtful planning and creativity, a home can be both beautiful and perfectly livable for everyone who shares it.

If you’re thinking about refreshing your own space, consider how your design can reflect your lifestyle, your loved ones, and the things that make your home truly yours.
